Information We Collect
To provide its core functionality, Moon Bot collects and processes the following data automatically provided by the Discord API:
1.1. Server Data: Guild IDs, Channel IDs, and Role IDs. This is required to save server-specific settings such as welcome channels, mute roles, and logging configurations.
1.2. User Data: User IDs and basic profile information (like usernames/avatars) when commands are executed. This is used for economy balances, moderation tracking, and generating userinfo cards.
1.3. No Message Logging: We DO NOT log, record, or store general chat messages or Direct Messages (DMs). Message content is only processed temporarily in memory to check for command triggers or bad words (if anti-swear is enabled) and is immediately discarded.
How We Use Your Data
2.1. Providing Features: We use your data to execute commands, apply moderation actions, and manage server-specific configurations.
2.2. Service Improvement: We may use aggregated, anonymous data (like command usage statistics) to identify bugs and improve the bot's performance.
2.3. Anti-Abuse: We monitor command execution rates to prevent spam, API abuse, and to maintain the stability of our servers.
Data Sharing and Security
3.1. Zero Selling Policy: We never sell, rent, or trade your personal or server data to any third-party companies, advertisers, or external entities.
3.2. Data Protection: All data is securely stored in our databases using industry-standard encryption protocols. Access to this database is strictly limited to the core development team for maintenance purposes only.
3.3. Discord Integration: As a Discord Bot, our data practices are also bound by Discord's official Privacy Policy.
Data Retention and Deletion
4.1. Server Removal: If Moon Bot is kicked or removed from a server, we typically retain the server's configuration data for 30 days in case of accidental removal. After this period, the data may be permanently purged.
4.2. Right to be Forgotten: Server owners or individual users have the right to request immediate deletion of their data. To do this, please join our Support Server and open a data deletion ticket.
